Billy Meistrell was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, CA. He grew up working in the back of The Dive N Surf retail shop with his father Bill Meistrell, pioneer of the first wetsuit and founder of Body Glove. Nearing 50 years working in and around the diving industry, Billy has collected a lion’s share of dive tanks. Aesthetically beautiful in their own right, Billy has been re-purposing these tanks into modern art and new treasures since 2010. His functional art, constructed from old dive tanks can be seen from coast to coast. An array of his work is on display at the original Dive N Surf location in Redondo Beach, CA. Billy’s creations can be custom designed for any individual. If you are passionate about diving, or simply an art lover, his dive tank creations are a must have addition.
